- Hi! Mrs. Stroud here. And here's my family, too.

I've been teaching in various forms and fashions since 2005. Between tutoring, assisting, and leading instruction, I've taught just about every age range from preschool to adult, experienced every setting from Montessori private school to a large state university, and dabbled in the culture of every geographic location from Idaho to eastern North Carolina. Well, that last one was a bit of a stretch, but I did teach in North Carolina for three years in addition to teaching in Boise, Eagle, and now Nampa.
Needless to say, I am happy to find a "home" in Lone Star. Sigh.
8th grade ELA is an exciting year to explore themes of identity, success, the resilient human spirit, and defying social norms. Students will engage in critical reading and writing throughout the year as we read selections of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.
